Weight Loss and Wellness

If you are on a weight loss journey, you’ve probably heard a lot of vague information and what seems to be useless advice on the internet on how to shed those extra pounds. Most of these tips aren't even backed up by science. Instead of melting extra fat, they make you feel more lethargic and unwilling. Am I right?

I am a family nurse practitioner and over the years, I have helped hundreds of people shed weight through natural and healthy means. I believe in incorporating exercise, a healthy diet, nutrients, supplements, and vitamins in your daily routine for overall wellness.

That being said, here are some of my tried and tested tips for weight loss. Have a look;

Exercise

Many people complain about gaining weight while working from home. This sudden change of routine completely disturbs the lifestyle, including eating habits and movements. My advice to you would be to move, move and move. Yes, you heard that right! Create a routine, stretch your body for 5 to 10 minutes, go for a walk or exercise (it could be any of your favorite home workouts!)

You can even do yoga or aerobics! Exercising or moving your body for at least 45 to 60 min per day plays a crucial role in improving your overall wellness and also assists you in weight loss.

Healthy diet

Never underestimate the power of nutritious meals consumed on time. You will be amazed by the results once you start munching on healthy snacks. I always suggest including supplements, vitamins, and minerals in your diet for better absorption of nutrients into the bloodstream.

Stay hydrated

Hydration is the key when it comes to weight loss. Consuming water before meals will surpass your appetite and improve digestion. Moreover, water boosts your metabolism and aids in blood circulation, giving you a natural glowing face as well. It's a win-win situation!
