7 Healthy Morning Routine Hacks

The alarm clock rings a couple of times. You hit snooze for a few more minutes. It rings again and more of the same. By the time you realize you should have been up half an hour ago you’re already in a hurry and are then stressed for the rest of the day. That rings a bell, right? Mornings aren't for everyone, but finding some healthy morning routine hacks will help you have an amazing start to your day.

Always try to get up at the same time.

Yes, you read right. ALWAYS. Changing the routine on the weekends is of no use, as the result is that it’ll be hard to restart on Monday. Try to always get up at the same time to avoid sleep disorders. Most people stay in bed for a couple more hours and waste time sleeping instead of starting their day with a morning walk, simply enjoying the quiet walks on Sunday mornings.

Make sure you’ve gotten enough sleep

A vital part of a healthy morning routine is a goodnight’s sleep. In fact, sleep is vital to feeling and looking well. You can't be a productive person without getting enough rest. Just go to bed early and get up early in the morning to have more time and get much more done. Don’t waste your hours of sleep to dedicate to other activities and try to accomplish the goals you have set for yourself.

Try an endorphin workout.

Have you ever heard of a runner's euphoria? Your brain activates those same neurotransmitters to make you feel good during any aerobic activity. Try a 30-minute nature walk or an accelerated yoga routine if early jogging isn't your thing. This morning routine hack will help you be active for the rest of the day.

Water, water, and… more water!

Drinking plenty of water during physical activity and throughout the whole day helps your body burn more fat and keeps you feeling energetic. Also, being well-hydrated will help you maintain stamina levels.

Avoid frequent consumption of caffeine, try tea instead!

Drink tea instead

It’s true that coffee can recharge your batteries and help you stay active during the whole day. But, it’s also true that, if frequently consumed, coffee can raise blood pressure and cause hormonal disbalance. I suggest you consume it as little as you can, or not at all! Try drinking tea instead — especially green tea which has a moderate amount of caffeine to keep you fresh. Not to mention how it is greatly beneficial for your skin and overall being!

Prepare your meals in advance.

Preparing your lunch the night before will save you time in the morning, but having a healthy breakfast is also essential. Consider easy meals that you can pre-prepare in bulk, such as oatmeal overnight or an easy homemade healthy sandwich to have in the morning.

Go out for a moment and take a deep breath!

Get moving first thing in the morning

Filling the lungs with fresh air is one of the best health hacks there is and only takes 10 minutes; it’s an easy way to make you feel good in the mornings. Going out to the garden or into the street can be a healthy habit to get your day off to a great start. You can also take advantage of this time to practice relaxation techniques focused on breathing.

I hope the above morning routine hacks prove helpful for you - incorporating them into your daily life may enable you to strengthen your immune system as well. If you are looking for more tips to improve your physical and mental health, you can reach me via the contact page.
